About the Instructor:
Known for her soulful and personal approach to portraiture, Cheryl Jacobs has the unusual ability to bring out the intensity in her subjects, young and old. Her masterful use of B&W film and natural light give her prints a depth uncommon in today's digital world. Her distinctive style of fine art portraiture is instantly recognizable.
Above all, Cheryl values the opportunity to form bonds with those she photographs, believing that the portrait is simply a side effect of a strong human connection. That belief is the key to her ongoing success, which now extends to commercial and editorial work, writing, and numerous fine art projects. Her unusual printing techniques and teaching methods have been spotlighted by Kodak's ProPass Magazine, and her workshops have received rave reviews worldwide.
Workshop Request Form
I'm currently working on scheduling additional workshops, both in the US and the UK. Registration will be opened for those workshops as the details are finalized.
To register your interest and / or to request a workshop in your area, please take just a moment to fill out some simple information for me. It's important to let me know if you have a group of photographers interested in attending, as it makes sense for me to accommodate those requests first.
Once I have received a group request, or a sufficient number of individual requests in the same geographical area, I'll contact you to put together an idea of possible time frames and a tuition estimate. Every effort is made to keep the tuition as reasonable as possible, and I'm happy to get creative with you to keep the cost down.
If your circumstances don't allow you to attend a workshop in person, you may be interested in an in-depth, "forensic" critique session, which can be conducted via phone, Skype, or in person in the Denver area.
